Long Plain First Nation is seeking an experienced individual for the position of Human Resource Manager and is responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counselling. The Human Resource Manager provides advice and assistance to Program Managers, Supervisors and Staff that may include information on training needs and opportunities, job descriptions, performance reviews and personnel policies of the Long Plain First Nation/Arrowhead Development Corporation. The Human Resource Manager provides advice and support to Tribal Government, Program Managers, Supervisors and staff selection committees and ensures that they have accurate and timely information in order to make effective human resources related decisions.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor with Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources Management and Chartered Professional in Human Resources Designation (CPHR).
  • Four to six years in a similar Human Resource Manager role
  • Experience in working with First Nation Communities.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
