Long Plain First Nation Housing Department is seeking two (2) youth (19-28 years old) for the CMHC Internship Program

Term Position- August 6,2024-March 2025

The objective of this program is to provide Indigenous youth with quality internship opportunities that will give them work experience and relevant skills training.

Functional Areas of work include:

  • Housing Construction
  • Housing Maintenance
  • Apprenticeship
  • Any other duties as assigned by appropriate LPFN authorities

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • must possess effective oral and written communication skills
  • strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • must have the ability to handle high stress situations under tight deadlines.
  • Basic mathematical ability with attention to detail and highly effective problem-solving skills will
  • Driver’s license and reliable means of transportation

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The youth applicant will possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with and two (2) years’ experience on the job or a combination of education and related work experience.
