The Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs met with Chiefs, Elders, youth, and leadership on the first day of the Special Chiefs Assembly, focusing on Major Projects and Resource Development at Long Plain First Nation, situated on Treaty One territory. During this assembly, the Chiefs participated in significant discussions and presentations regarding major projects in Manitoba, First Nations’ sovereign authority, critical mineral infrastructure, and the AMC’s efforts in advancing Nation-building to uphold the rights and interests of First Nations in Manitoba.
