SEEKING OFFICE FOR THE TRIBAL GOVERNMENT
As per the Long Plain First Nation Custom Election Act,
Article 2.1 the Long Plain First Nation Tribal Government consists of one (1) Chief and four (4) Councillors.
Article 2.4 the term of office for the position of Chief and Councillors shall be four (4) years.

6:45 p.m. – Opening Prayer, Review of Article 9.0 7:00 p.m. – Start of Candidate Gathering
9:00 p.m. – Close of Candidate Gathering

Article 8.14 (e), please submit questions to the Moderator for the purposes of the Candidate Gathering .
Article 9.2, eligible candidates may share their viewpoints on various governance issues at the local, regional, and national levels.
Article 9.3, the Moderator will ask prepared questions chosen from questions that have been submitted. Each candidate will be given one (1) minute to respond to the question. The Moderator does not have the authority or discretion to extend response times.
Article 9.4, all eligible candidates are required to attend, remain and participate for the full duration of the Candidate Gathering.
Article 9.5, the failure of an eligible Candidate to attend and remain for the full duration of the Candidate Gathering may result in a ground for an election appeal in accordance with this Act.
