Long Plain First Nation has almost finished construction on Yellowquill Trail East. Chief Dennis Meeches says it’s a project that was started almost a year ago.
“It’s been a few years since the road was closed by engineers, for safety reason obviously,” says Meeches. “Since that time, we went through a tender process, Meseyton Construction is doing the work for us out there and that work started last year.”
Meeches says they’re aiming to have the project completed this month.
“We should be wrapped up, I think, the middle of July on that particular project.”
