On August 5, there was an incident that involved multiple individuals. These individuals included underage minors. The two groups were intoxicated and decided to bear mace each other near the powwow arbour. One individual was detained last night and we’re aware of everyone that was involved. We will be following up with Manitoba First Nation Police regarding this incident.
I would like to extend our heartfelt apologies to everyone in attendance and to those who were directly impacted.
As we move forward together, we will provide every opportunity for healing through the beautiful ways of our traditional teachings for our children, youth and community.
