Long Plain First Nation is seeking a full-time Case Manager Assistant for Jordan’s Principle

OVERVIEW

Under the direction of the Jordan’s Principal Case Manger, the Jordan’s Principle Case Assistant must have case management experience and experience with First Nations children, youth and families. The Jordan’s Principle Case Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Case Manager while working within a team environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Advocating and communicating with families.
  • Responsible for ensuring information is accurate, preparing and maintaining case files and keeping detailed records.
  • Responsible for transparency by providing updates to families.
  • Ensures that the Jordan’s Principle client have all the necessary documentation required to support requests.
  • Coordinating with the Jordan’s Principle team to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
  • Ability in tracking data entry
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality according to PHIA standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prefer Certificate in Child Development from recognized institute.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Equivalent combination of education and a minimum of two years (2) years of case management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work co-operatively as a part of an interdisciplinary team of professionals.
  • Demonstrates problem solving, time management and organization skills.
  • Knowledge of Jordan’s Principle and the services that is provided to First Nation children and youth.
  • Knowledge of Child and Family services, experience working with First Nation children, youth, families.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of the programs and resources available to First Nations families that will offer practical and timely solutions.
  • Knowledge of First Nation culture, traditions, and fluent in a First Nation language would be an asset.
  • Adhere to Long Plain First Nation policies, and procedures with specific attention to attendance, and professional ethics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and a reliable means of transportation.
  • Must have a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Clear Child/Adult Abuse Checks.
