Long Plain First Nation is seeking a Human Resource Assistant.
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Tribal Administrator, the Human Resource Assistant will oversee operations related to hiring, training, professional development, employee experience and the overall workplace culture.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies.
- Hire and onboard new employees and negotiate employment agreements.
- Ensure the organization remains in compliance with laws and regulations.
- Plan and execute HR functions strategically, such as compensation, benefits, performance management, training and development, employee communication, experience, and relations.
- Communicate information and instructions to staff members in a manner that’s clear and easy to understand.
- Must be willing to work overtime as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- University Degree or college diploma in Human Resource Management or related field
- Valid Driver’s license and reliable means of transportation.
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR
