Long Plain First Nation is seeking a Human Resource Assistant.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Tribal Administrator, the Human Resource Assistant will oversee operations related to hiring, training, professional development, employee experience and the overall workplace culture.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR policies.
  • Hire and onboard new employees and negotiate employment agreements.
  • Ensure the organization remains in compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Plan and execute HR functions strategically, such as compensation, benefits, performance management, training and development, employee communication, experience, and relations.
  • Communicate information and instructions to staff members in a manner that’s clear and easy to understand.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • University Degree or college diploma in Human Resource Management or related field
  • Valid Driver’s license and reliable means of transportation.
  • Clear Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
  • Current First Aid and CPR
