POSITION: 305 Petro Canada Manager
LOCATION: Crossing Gas Bar
CLOSING DATE: Friday, January 24, 2025 (4 p.m.)
Under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Gas Bar Manager is responsible for the operation of the 305 Petro Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in all financial meetings, audits, and ensure accuracy of inventory and cash control
- Ensure customer service is provided through maintaining a safe and efficient operation while adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards
- Ensure merchandise is ordered, received, priced, and properly displayed
- Work with vendors to ensure the proper merchandise in the appropriate amounts at the right time.
- Strong understanding of all point-of-sale operations (POS system)
- Schedule staff and track and report attendance; complete and communicate staff performance opportunities and evaluations.
- Oversee the training of supervisors and staff
- Assist at the cash register and pump island when required
- Ensure all necessary cash reconciliations, deposits, inventory audits and reports are completed and forwarded to finance daily
- Ensure all Health and Safety, Provincial and Federal regulations are adhered to and followed
- Ensure proficiency in all opening and closing procedures.
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of Grade 12 or Equivalent with a preference for post-secondary education (Business diploma or degree)
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Must have previous experience of 3–5 years progressive and successful retail management
- Must pay strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping
- Must have experience with financial management and accounting
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to problem solve
- Must possess technical knowledge and experience
- Must be highly motivated with excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Must be involved in events at work and in the community
- Must have ability to foster a culture focused on safety, innovation, and teamwork
- Must be honest and trustworthy
- Must have the ability to function effectively as a team member, demonstrating emotional stability and objectivity when dealing with challenging/changing work environments.
- Must have the ability to balance and prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining a keen sense of accuracy and attention to detail
- Must have experience in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and database systems
- Must adhere to policies and procedures with specific attention to attendance and professional ethics
- Must be in good physical and mental health
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
Conditions of Employment
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
