We, Chief & Council want to address a rumor circulating within the community regarding the leadership of Long Plain First Nation allegedly receiving settlement payments from the Cows and Plows initiative. This statement is false.
At this time, there are still processes that need to be completed before any agreement or payment can be made. Once we receive official notification regarding the Cows and Plows initiative, we will hold a community meeting for consultation and to vote on payment options.
