WINNIPEG, MB, July 28, 2022 – The Wyndham Garden Winnipeg Airport – located on Long Plain First Nation, will soon open its doors to guests.

The newest hotel to Winnipeg’s Airport market has set an official Grand Opening Date of October 5th, 2022.

Originally scheduled to open on August 4th, the Grand Opening event was rescheduled as a result of unforeseen global supply chain delays.

The celebratory Grand Opening Event will take place on Wednesday, October 5th and will welcome industry partners, media, stakeholders, various dignitaries, and others, while the hotel plans to welcome guests starting August 17th, as part of a soft opening.

Wyndham Garden Winnipeg Airport is a full-service hotel located on the first Urban Reserve in Winnipeg; the Long Plain Madison Reserve located on Treaty 1 territory. The hotel is owned by Long Plain First Nation and will be operated by Winnipeg based Sparrow Hotels. The hotel features 132 guest rooms, pool, waterslide, fitness centre, 5800 square feet of flexible meeting space, dining room, café, and 230 parking stalls.
