The Pandemic Coordinator and the Long Plain Chief and Council have decided to CANCEL the Pow Wow that was scheduled for September 17 to 19, 2021.
The decision was made based on the following:
- The current Provincial Health Order has downsized outdoor gathering to 500 people;
- The Long Plain First Nation has a low vaccination rate for second doses at less that 20%;
We must protect the community of Long Plain and the Tribal Membership. We will see how next year looks in terms of the Pandemic.
